For Jim Silva, a change in his role at Eno Martin Donahue includes leading two of the firm’s core services.

Eno Martin Donahue announced that Jim Silva (formerly Of Counsel) has joined the law firm as a Senior Associate. This change provides businesses and families in the Merrimack Valley with additional support for the firm’s key practice areas.

Attorney Silva practices business law, intellectual property, and estate planning law. His focus is helping people form and build businesses to achieve their dreams and to protect their families. In particular, he advises clients on strategies to safeguard and manage their ideas, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Clients have shown appreciation for the way he works with them, patiently explaining the various aspects of the legal strategies that he develops for them.

He now spearheads My Outside General Counsel, the firm’s fixed-fee legal maintenance service for small- to mid-sized businesses. This service provides all the benefits of having in-house legal counsel without the expense. Eno Martin Donahue provides this service specifically because they know that entrepreneurs and small business owners oftentimes don’t address their legal needs due to a lack of resources to hire an experienced attorney.

Not addressing the legal needs of your business can be a fatal mistake. My Outside General Counsel keeps legal costs affordable and creates predictability for everyone involved. I want to focus on helping our clients grow their business.” – Jim Silva

Attorney Silva also organizes the firm’s new estate planning program called the Family Care Plan. This program delivers a much more extensive estate plan for families and provides a yearly maintenance program so that their estate plan remains current, safeguarding their family.

These programs continue Eno Martin Donahue’s heritage of service that dates back to 1887 when the first Donahue law firm was opened in Lowell. Public service remains an important value at the firm, with all attorneys committed to creating a better quality of life for residents of the Merrimack Valley in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Attorney Silva has an extensive volunteer history in local/regional government and affordable housing, in particular as a Selectman for the town of Westford. He was on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity for six years and served as president for three of those years.

Prior to joining Eno Martin Donahue, for 15 years Attorney Silva maintained a solo law practice in Westford, Massachusetts. He is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, the United States Patent and Trademark Office Patent Bar, and the New York Bar.
